Conrail's Williamsport-Berwick local out of Newberry Yard heads west with new Chessie System boxcars built at BFF (Berwick Forge and Fabricating Corp.). Within a very short time, the last W-B local would run to Berwick and return on these rails. All Berwick traffic would be diverted to the Bloomsburg Branch after a clearance project at Rupert would be completed. This secondary track would be abandoned east of M.P. 14.
This train had CR 8150 GP38-2 for power and CR 24530 N12 caboose which later became the Conrail Police Caboose.
BFF built Chessie System boxcars in this order were marked for B&O and some for C&O.
