TE 4106 is seen on a siding extension project in West Nyack, NY in December 1998. This was a Tie Remover / Inserter mounted on a Plasser American production tamper platform. The tamper functions were removed during the conversion. Conrail had several of these repurposed machines and were most likely rebuilt at the System Maintenance of Way Shop in Canton Ohio.
