I hate the rain, but boy was I glad I stood out in it at the former Van Buren MoPac-Frisco interchange this day. There were several different coil cars on this Union Pacific train of varying types, but this one obviously is the most interesting. From what I am told, these were home-constructed by the Hollidaysburg shops for the 984F Class of coil cars (as indicated on the hood ends). Apparently, the lacquer wasn't made very well and the paint would always become stripped!
