Leaving Reading towards Allentown, eastbounds encounter a 0.5% grade between CP Belt and Blandon. After spending the morning building their train in Reading Yard and gathering all the available power, the train now symbolled as an ENAL attacks the grade at Temple PA in late March 1987 with the 9527 leading two GP10's and three MP15's with 94 cars. I noted on the slide it took just over an hour and a half running wide open to cover the first six miles leaving Reading and it never stalled.
