A borrowed NS C36-7 is being tested on the Boston Line against a Conrail C36-7 for fuel consumption. The NS unit has fuel efficiency improvements and the Technical Services Laboratory is doing a real world, instrumented comparison. The SD50 in the consist will later be compared to a MP SD50.
