Conrail was contracted by SEPTA to operate regional Philadelphia passenger service until the early 1980's. Diesel-powered passenger service through Abrams yard was either by ex-RDG RDC's or FP-7A push-pull trains.
Here, ex-RDG FP-7A 900 (CR 4371), repainted in SEPTA colors, blasts through Abrams yard with five coaches on a late August day in 1978. The push-pull train has ex-RDG FP-7A 903 (CR 4373) on the rear.
