CR 3322 at Butler Switch

Eastbound Conrail freight behind GP40-2 No. 3322 and C&NW GP50 No. 5099 are on the CJ at the wyes at the Butler switch, in April 1987. The Conrail train will head for the Chicago Line at 40th Street on the south wye, while the C&NW power will take the north wye into Canal Street Yard. It should be noted that UP closed Canal Street yard as of October 2010. Doug Davidson photo with permission
