Backing to its display site, the American Freedom Train powered by Ross Rowland's AFT1 (ex-RDG 2101 T-1 4-8-4 ) arrived on former PRR trackage which has long since been removed.
Personal reflections: I wonder if the young boy with the audio cassette recorder recording the sounds of AFT1 as it was making various switching moves and the smaller boy ahead of him maintain a lifelong interest in trains. Both would be in their 50's as of this posting date.
Also the white Oldsmobile Cutlass sedan with the red roof seen in the background ahead of AFT 1 without a doubt belonged to H.E. (ED) Brouse. This was before I got to know the Brouse brothers, Ed and Scott, now both deceased. H.E.Brouse is listed in CRHS's Our Photographers.
