Probably one of the saddest sights I've seen at the A&M, C420 #52 (ex-CR 2073, nee-LHR 23) sits in her final resting place here in the 'boneyard', or the parts yard. Severely damaged in a washout wreck along with SD70ACe #71, the shop forces at Springdale tried their best to save her but it was too much. She now sits retired, battered, and dead.
#52 was one of the first units on the railroad and helped 54 along with T-6's 14 and 12 pull the first revenue freight train on the former Frisco Central Division.
