After the May 23, 1976 timetable of SEPTA's Reading Division was revised to include the "ConRail" logo in place of the Reading Lines diamond, another update was made on October 31, 1976.
The October 31, 1976 version showed the familiar "CONRAIL," with the wheels on rails logo alongside.
A heavily revised October 29, 1978 timetable showed the CONRAIL logo removed, and "Operated by Conrail under contract with Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority" added at the bottom. The 1982 version was further revised to state "Operated under contract for Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority" for Septa Regional Rail Service.
The yellow Glenside-line colors were replaced with an orange color in the 1978 and 1982 versions. Both versions show Septa's stylized version of commuter power.
The cartoon appears to represent a combination of an MU and a cab unit which seemed to fit the Reading Division that operated Silverliners and FP7's.
However, Septa also included this cartoon on ex-PC line October 29, 1978 timetables that only operated MU's.
