The old Conrail Detector at Harper, Ohio, on CSX's Indianapolis line between Bellefontaine and Ridgeway, Ohio, as seen on April 21, 2007. This particular HBD/DED sits on the side of the highest point in Ohio, and could be heard for miles. I've regularly heard it from Sidney (about 40 miles distant), from Findlay (about 65 miles), and even once from Bryan (over 100 miles away). If you sit next to it, you can receive a lot as well.
