A Conrail local freight is seen on the ramp at 49th Street returning to Ashland Avenue Yard in March 1992. The former B&OCT 49th Street Tower is but a shell by this date. The ramp was former Chicago River & Indiana track that is also used by GTW intermodal trains to reach Railport Yard. The double track below is CSX's Blue Island Subdivision, and the far track is the remains of the former PRR Panhandle Line. Conrail uses this track to service an elevator at 51st Street.
