CR 6842 at Ash Street Chicago, IL

Holding short of the bridges north of Ash Street, an eastbound Conrail freight on CJ Main behind SD60s Nos. 6842 and 6825, waits next to a tied-down CSX hopper train with three SD40-2s on the Blue Island Sub, in December 1998. The former PRR Panhandle line is in the left foreground(the weed grown track) and at this time, the junk yard on the north side of the river was still an active Conrail customer, accounting for the presence of the portable derail.
