CR 356540- Class X54A

CR 356540 is seen here in January 1977. CR 356540 ex PC 356540 from PRR series 19400-19499. The X54A class was built in early 1960, the final group of 40' cars constructed by the PRR. This late batch of 40' cars could have been meant to entice shippers with older plants and 40' door-spacing to retain rail service if they could be serviced with new equipment.
