It would appear the painters misplaced their renumbering guide when painting this gon. At least it's much easier to identify its former owner and number than the small markings usually located on the upper right corners of repaints. There was a scrapping operation going on in the early 1990's at this location in Reading almost directly across from where the Reading Outer Station would have been if you're familiar with the center of Reading. Dozens of cabins, some freight and MOW passenger cars were being scrapped here including the cabins in the background. The gons were moving the scrap metal out and were not being scrapped just to be clear.
