Conrail's Marion Branch ran from Elkhart, IN to Anderson, IN and was the former NYC Michigan Branch. This line was Conrail's primary route to get important auto traffic from Michigan and Northern Indiana down to Indianapolis and Avon yard. The part from Elkhart to Marion, IN is signaled with PRR color position light signals that came from the ex PRR Richmond branch during the Penn Central era, making this the only ex NYC line to have PRR signals on it. The part from Marion on south to Anderson is called the Dow Secondary and was dispatched by Form-D's. This line was also home to Conrail's unique SD80MACs and later on the SD70MACs.
