MOW/Non-revenue Tank Cars

While not a major component of their freight car fleet, Conrail did own and utilize tankcars, largely to move diesel fuel to terminals. These cars were of Reading and PRR heritage.

CR 70899 is seen at South Philadephia PA on 12/28/97. Car is ex PC 799000/PRR 500001 and was built 1-66. Car would go to NS after the split and now resides at the Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania in Strasburg PA.

Having survived past the split of Conrail, this ex Reading Lines fuel tank car has been bad ordered at Altoona in October 2000. It's coupled to another ex RDG tank, class TMdx #90946. "Do not move off Reading Lines except to refinery", this car was built in 1946 and last shopped on the RDG in January 1974.
