ALCO T-6

ALCO built the 1,000hp T-6 from 1958-1960.  Conrail inherited 6 of the ex-PRR ALCO 251B straight-6 powered T-6 units from the Penn Central.  The initial CR roster retained their PC number series 9844-9849.

Alco T-6 9844, one of six PC class AS10a's, was the first in PC series 9844-9849.

It's 1/27/79 and Alco T-6 9846 is set aside for retirement at Elizabethport Shops. I think this was one of a few Alco switchers painted Blue

CR 9847 Morrisville, PA 3-5-1977

Alco T-6 CR 9847, one of six ex-PRR units, works Morrisville yard with PC SW-7 9067 in March, 1977. 

The CR paint crews barely covered "Penn Central" on the side of the T-6, and left the PC herald on the SW-7.
