Location
NJDOT GG-1 4877 rests with both pans up at the South Amboy engine terminal in November, 1978.
In mid-1981, 4877 was repainted in PRR Tuscan Red and pinstripes and would continue in service until the day when all GG-1's would be retired.
CR retired their freight fleet of GG-1's in 1979, but the CR-contracted NJDOT GG-1's 4872-4884 saw their operating days extended to the end of October, 1983.
