GE C30-7A - Page 3

GE built 50 C30-7A's for Conrail in 1984.  A variant of the C30-7, this 12-cylinder version produced the same 3,000hp as the C30-7 V16.  Conrail assigned them CR series 6550-6599.

MBSE passes a defunct block signal, note the heads turned away from the track, at mile 56.8 in Charlton, MA. on April 12, 1987. With the cutting in of single track between CP 57/Charlton and CP 48/Jamesville, this is single iron territory and the signal is no longer needed, or is the old track 2 in the foreground.
