Class H54 - Page 3

The H54 class of coveed hoppers were built by Pullman Standard in 1971 as PCB 888749-889999. 1234 cars made it to Conrail and became CR 888749-889999. Cars are rated at 100 tons, 4785 cuft and are 59ft 2in long. Conrail's H54 class was a group of 1250 PS-2CD cars built and leased to the PC, originally given PCB reporting marks to distinguish them from cars governed by the PC's bankruptcy process.

CR 889811- Class H54

Car is ex PC and is seen here in June 1998. Car would later be restenciled to NYC 889811 as CR would be split up in 1999.

CR 889817-Class H54

CR 889817 is seen at Dana Railcar in Edgemoor DE on 1/1/98 to be restenciled to OLDX 7180. Car is ex PCB 889817 and was built 10-71.

CR 889822 - Class H54

CR 889825- Class H54

Car is ex PC and is seen here in June 1998.

CR 889840 - Class H54

Conrail 889840 is seen at Rochester, PA. Car would later be sold and become NRLX 47214.

CR 889869- Class H54

Car is ex PC and is seen here in September 1995.

CR 889882-Class H54

CR 889882 is seen at Dana Railcar in Edgemoor DE on 1/1/98 to be restenciled to OLDX 7182. Car is ex PCB 889882, built 10-71 and was painted CR-BL 8-83. OLDX 7182 became DONX 7182 and finally INTX 6004.

CR 889954 - Class H54

Conrail 889954 is seen at Lancaster, PA in the mid 1980s. Car would later be restenciled to NYC 889954 as CR would be split up in 1999.

CR 889974 - Class H54

Car is ex PCB 889974 and was built 10-71.

PCB 889387 - Class H54

Car was built 9-71. Interesting that the PC name has been painted out and replaced with "CONRAIL" and the canopener, but it still retains its original PCB reporting marks.
