Class H54 - Page 2

The H54 class of coveed hoppers were built by Pullman Standard in 1971 as PCB 888749-889999. 1234 cars made it to Conrail and became CR 888749-889999. Cars are rated at 100 tons, 4785 cuft and are 59ft 2in long. Conrail's H54 class was a group of 1250 PS-2CD cars built and leased to the PC, originally given PCB reporting marks to distinguish them from cars governed by the PC's bankruptcy process.

CR 889276 is seen at Dana Railcar in Edgemoor DE on 1/1/98 to be restenciled to OLDX 7169. Car is ex PCB 889276 built 9-71 and painted CR-BL 6-81.

CR 889286-Class H54

CR 889286 is seen at Stoney Creek Yard in Chester PA on 12/28/97. Car is ex PCB 889286 and was built 9-71. Car later became OLDX 7170 then to DONX 7170 and finally INTX 6005.

Conrail 889301 is seen at Lancaster, PA on 2/19/1988. Car would later be restenciled to NYC 889301 as CR would be split up in 1999.

CR 889316 - Class H54

Conrail 889316 is at Cove, PA in the early 1980s, sporting an early paint-out scheme. Car would later be restenciled to NYC 889316 as CR would be split up in 1999.
