Cleveland 2010 Convention - Macedonia Car Shop Night Photography Session

CRHS Cleveland 2010

Two former Conrail pieces of equipment are returned to their former numbers for a night photo session on Friday evening. A big, big thank you to Brian Alesin for providing the lighting. Conrail 6710 "was" NS 5405, CL 4177 "was" LC 78302.

Lots of CR blue to be seen as Rodney poses his truck next to the 6710. Thank you Rodney!

CRHS Cleveland 2010

As we were taking the 6710 shots the crosstown job came in with a former Conrail SD40-2 trailing. Since he cut away from the train and stopped for a few moments we took advantage of the new photo op and captured the blue SD under the moon and Jupiter.

CRHS members were treated to the "Buffalo" backing down the Cuyahoga River at Drawbridge tower. This ship had just delivered a load of ore to the mill up river.

You had to see it to believe it- Rodney had a timeline/slogan display on Conrail that went from wall to wall, seen here as Joe checks it out. It was fantastic and very informative Rodney, thank you so much for setting it up!

Joe will probably kill me for posting this one, but Melissa deserves a big thank you too for all her help. I'll title this one "The Blue Kiss"....

The view that the CRHS convention attendees saw as we began our tour of the LTEX facility. Locomotives of all types and heritages can be seen, including many former Conrail GP15-1's.

I forget who I gave my camera to, but thank you for grabbing this shot of all of us on the 6710.

Cut up CR GE pieces

Here are the cut up remnants of what used to be a CR GE C30-7A. If you look closely you can even see a six axle GE truck sitting in the weeds as well.

LTEX 1417, former CR 1638, is seen among lines of other locomotives during the CRHS tour of the Larry's Truck and Electric facility in McDonald, OH on 9/25/10.
